I’ve been chatting with Greg for a few months now on facebook and have come to get know him on a semi-personal basis. We got familiar with each other during the 30 day challenge and kept in touch after wards. Hes been a great resource and a go to guy for Internet marketing and making money blogging questions I’ve come up with. So when he told me he was releasing his blogging for riches product I was eager to get eager to get a hold of it. He let me beta test it because he knows I’m in the that niche and I do make money blogging.There’s been quite a few blogging information products that have begun to pop up lately, mainly targeted at the Internet marketing world, but certainly of interest to the blogging world or anyone who wants to make money online. IMO the majority of them are crap or rehashes of already freely available content.

And those of you on my list will recognize that I just don’t promote the Hyped up releases. Have you received a sales letter from me? NO. Unless I use the product I’m recommending.

Greg Meares’s Blogging For Riches Product centered around creating niche blogs for profits and converting sites to niche blogs. UNLIKE most information products like this the pretense is how much money you can make but NOT how little you have to work to make it, all backed up by the authors who are walking the walk - (as personal note I know they have multiple blogs and these blogs are living proof that this system works., on the inside of the product they show you case studies of their blog and that the blogging for riches system does work .
Given that I got to beta test it. I was very curious to see what Greg does to make his money from blogs and compare it to how I do it. I had some assumptions about his system and after having a look inside they were pretty much confirmed, along with a few other methods I hadn’t thought of.

I have to thank Greg for offering me the opportunity to beta test as well, so thanks Greg and as promised, here is the review.

Blogging For Money

There is a key distinction that must be made between how I work on blogs compared to the vast majority of other "blogging for money" information products out there. Most other systems available today, show you how to find a clickbank product to promote, then use a free blogging system like blogger or others to promote the clickbank product, again all this freely available already if you just Google search for it. Nothing new there. Same old same old, use blogs to tap in on search engine traffic (and other sources of traffic) to sell affiliate products. Then rinse and repeat, finding new niches and building a blog 5 digit per month blog empire over night.

Sounds easy right?

If it was we’d all be millionaires now wouldn’t we.

What separates Blogging For Riches from this is the way the blog is researched, produced and the motivation behind the process. As with the other systems your focus is on the money, find "profitable" niches  fill your blog with content from all kinds of sources (ie e-zine articles, article city, or PLR) and then repeat it all over again. Clogging up google with garbage "blogs". Not so with blogging for Riches.

What I teach you is more about building a blog about a topic you love. It’s about creating a blog that you personally contribute most of the content to, build up traffic over time, interact with your readers and essentially build a solid long term Blogging for money asset.

And this is why I am happy to let you know about Blogging for Riches. Many other blogging "guru’s" are starting to realize and teach the importance of ongoing work on a blog, At least to the very minimal of posting regularly to hook in readers so they can grab an email address or an RSS feed reader to promote the affiliate product promotion system. I’m going to say that there is definitely a difference in the mindset behind the other blogging for money bloggers and the Blogging for Riches bloggers.

Look no-one system is better than the other, each to their own right?. I don’t personally know you or your business model or what you want to get out of blogging. Both systems have their plus points and so suit different types of people who want to use blogs to make money in different ways. The real difference I see in Blogging for Riches is the value Greg places on what a blog offers to it’s readers, it’s about being a niche fanatic who is writing the content and lovingly taking care of the one blog, in comparison to churning out blog after blog after blog like an assembly line to mine affiliate product income sources and not focusing much on creating  long term community and value. ie, the other blogging for money systems. Won’t name names because as I said they’re pretty much crap or re-hashes. I think the Blogging for Riches strategy is sound, and long term.

That being said. You definitely should make yourself aware of all methods to make money from blogs and there is a lot of overlap between what Greg teaches and what others teach, so what you learn with the other blogging for money systems is still very relevant if you just want to build one core niche blog. I’m not trying to cover my bases I’m just trying to be real about it.

Ok now that that is out of the way, let’s Dive into a review of what’s inside Blogging For Riches.

Target Audience

Blogging for Riches is definitely aimed at beginners, Not just tire kicking, wow cool beginners But  motivated beginning bloggers. You get the entire drilled down process handed to you with a step-by-step guide for doing Just about everything you need as a beginning blogger.

You get the big picture process involved in selecting and defining niches all in video format. With a few of the more common and critical tasks explained in great detail. Typical of other products for people completely new to the Internet marketing world, there will be a technology learning curve to go through in order to implement what is taught in the other books. I can Honestly say that these are covered in Blogging For Riches if you want to make money online you are going to have to learn this stuff eventually and Greg covers these bases. Ive done my own traffic studies using his methods and am going to be doing a full blown study with my girlfriends sister. She’s seen my paychecks from blogging and has her own niches shes interested in pursuing. So watch for these in up coming posts.

The Process

Without letting the cat out of the bag, here’s a point form list breakdown of what you will learn as you progress through Blogging for Riches. The book breaks down each of these areas into more detail.

1. You go through the niche market research and selection process made simple in video format. This is a good breakdown of how to find a potentially lucrative blog niche you can tap thanks to the search engine power of a blog.
2. Greg then teaches you what web hosting service is best , depending on if you’re selling info products or physical products, yes theres a big difference between the web hosting services. This was an eye opener for me!!
3. How to install and configure your wordpress blog.
4. How to customize your Wordpress blog. Lots of information here, that even a seasoned Wordpress blogger like myself didn’t know!! I’m pretty much a techno-dummy and even I could follow along with it
5. How he populates his blogs with content, which includes sourcing articles from PLR (private label rights), article directories, writing content yourself and outsourcing the production of fresh articles. This is definitely a good way to mix up your content between fresh and re-purposed, without doing the majority of writing yourself.
6. How and where to get traffic

I was particularly interest in this section, who doesn’t want traffic. So I thought I would take a new project I was working on at the time I was beta testing it.

The traffic generating methods Blogging for riches teaches are sound and do work. Alot of the traffic generating methods focus on using the web 2.0 networking methods to grab targeted traffic. targeted viewers but also powerful backlinks to your sites that bring positive SEO
and Search Engine results.

Greg emphasizes the importance of traffic tracking and networking, which is great to see,not many other blogging systems you buy place any importance on it AT ALL. and it is one of the most important aspects of your blogging for money business. The networking aspect as well is very important, you need to get out there and network find like minded other bloggers and webamasters to spread the word for you. Again you don’t see this in alot of other blogging products and e-books. This section of the product is right up to date and reviews some Web 2.0
style marketing tactics you can use to gain traffic from sites like
Squidoo, Digg, Netscape and Del.icio.us. and many others

Make your blog Search Engine Friendly 

• You then get into the blog optimization process, which includes some solid plug-in recommendations to optimize your blogs for search engines (he also recommends WordPress as the blog platform of choice).
• As well as the best SEO wordpress themes.
• How to install them, set up your widgets, and plug-ins.
• And alot of other crucial fooling about with your wordpress theme you’ll need to know in order to make your wordpress blog theme Search engine Friendly If you already know your blogging well you will know the plug-ins he recommends (or if you have been reading my blog for any length of time), however for someone new to blogging Greg provides a solid list of the most critical plug-ins.

Monetizing your new blog

Next comes the monetization process and Greg offers a Solid and clear outline of where to place advertising on your blog to get the best results. It’s not rocket science, but it’s definitely helpful and makes it very clear for people who like to have their hands held through the monetization process.
The book goes through the very important back link building process. Since the focus with this system is search engine traffic, generating backlinks is crucial, and Greg outlines several processes he uses to build links for his blogs, including some of the usual culprits like article syndication. All of it useful and easy to follow and understand in Video format.

The product is thorough and comprehensive, and definitely goes straight to the point. There’s no waffling and the videos aren’t perfect, but that’s not what it is about in this case - it’s a breakdown of Greg’s methods, not a story.

Niche Blogs Made For Monetization

Blogging for Riches is a product that completes a long line of information products that basically teach you how to identify and select profitable niches for your blog, capture Targeted search engine traffic and monetize that traffic with affiliate programs. It’s modernized for today’s Web 2.0 crowd because the tool used is blogs and the marketing techniques are up to date for what’s going on in the Google and social bookmarking dominated world.

SO Will You Make Money?

Will most people who buy this product make a lot of money? - Honestly, probably not. I know you have heard this before but it is true - it’s not because the system doesn’t work, in fact it does. It’s because people are lazy and have been fed a pile of quick money hype lies, or thyre just info junkies that whine in forums that they don’t make money blogging. Most people will not work long enough and do enough to make it work. A small percentage will and as always they will do so not because of what they learned in an information product, but because they kept working, testing and learning.

I also don’t worry about the long term viability of of his methods, because he suggests creating blogs that are full of A-class content. 

Best Parts for me

For me, the best part was Greg’s research process. I found it interesting and refreshingly simple (for a change) how he researched what products he was going to focus on and build blogs for. It’s very easy to do because you just use Google and Clickbank to find all the answers and then get to work building a blog that is optimized for the phrases you determine are key.

Worst Parts?

As always the worst bits are the hype that goes along with an information product like this, You know the necessary evils that most internet marketers make use of (I do too!).

At $47 it’s not too much money to invest and as always, if you find a few tips that you can leverage you easily make your money back.

As a product for absolute beginners it’s not bad, although given the amount of choices beginners have to get into making money online it’s tough to say where you should start. If you get blogs and you want to see how someone uses them as an affiliate marketing tool to make lots of money, Blogging for Riches is worth the investment.
