One small change for Google, one giant leap in adsense income.

Google adsense has changed its mind (Yet again).

Getting tried of the Google changes?, this one is a good change and one which will actually benefit you, imagine that. Google  adsense doing something this time to help you make money blogging.

The newest Google adsense policy lets you put three link units instead of two on the same Web page!!!!. How can that help you earn more money? Because in the right places, well-blended link units can bring great returns. Those spots have always included a horizontal line under the navigation bar and a vertical link unit in a sidebar beneath a list of recommended links. But link units also work really well at the bottom of blog posts. You could, for example, end a post with a list of links for further reading and place a link unit right next to it. The ads appear recommended, a strategy that brings an excellent clickthrough rate. Until now, publishers have had to choose between blending their link units into their navigation links or placing them at the bottom of blog posts. Now that you can place three link units on the same page, you no longer have to make that choice. You can do both. In fact, you could even remove the link units from the navigation links altogether and place them at the bottom of the first three post teasers on your home page. Let Oprah Drive traffic to your blog?

This is a follow up post to Do Niche market research with Google Trends

If you didn’t know already I have been using The Google Trends tool secretly to jump to the front of the pack by capitalizing on emerging Internet traffic trends.

A big part of what you want to be accomplishing with your blogging is getting Massive traffic to your blog .One the best ways to get traffic to your blog is by being first for your niche topic.

OR in other words being in front of the parade.

There are a number of ways you can go about getting traffic like this but something I have found that works great is by really figuring out where the traffic is going to be. This isn’t really crystal balling, but just getting in front of the wave.

Seldom static let the cat out of the bag just 5 days after I did my post on niche market research with Google trends. Using a not so unlikely source, and one I have been using to do exactly the same. You may scoff laugh or ask your self what we’re smoking. But when you really get it, you’ll be in a better position to position yourself in front of the traffic.

Alot of bloggers and web masters alike are always chasing traffic, buying traffic, or just plain trying to get more traffic. It is the life blood and currency of our business. With out targeted traffic you are just another voice in the wilderness. And making money blogging or branding yourself and branding your business becomes just that much more difficult.

So lets have a look at what we’re both talking about in a little more detail.

I first got the power of Oprah about a little while ago after my girlfriend Forced me to watch an episode with her.

It was about Mom who make Millions.

This made me RUN to my computer. The work at home mom market is Huge and she was tapping this market for all it was worth. SO I quickly Posted about work at home moms who made millions. More specifically The jibbitz founder. And what were my results?.

I wanted to see if I could jump on this traffic quick so I didn’t even wait till the end of the clip I had my girlfriend PVR it so I could watch afterwards.

At the time as you can figure from the picture I was page one for Jibbitz, Not the case now though. WHICH IS WHY YOU WANT TO GET IN FIRST.

After I made that post I went and checked google trends to see what the traffic was like for Jibbitz (wish I had screen shotted it) but it was more or less nothing. I knew after oprah mentioned it it would spike.

And was I right. That huge spike in traffic you see there is a direct result of the Oprah show in February.

Go check the results for yourself, you’ll also notice something interesting as well, where the majority of the traffic is from Chicago.

Where is The Oprah show located, you got it Chicago.

So if you’re in Chicago you have a leg up with this tool.

But this is the power of Oprah Winfrey, She can drive traffic like crazy and move markets.

So how do you monopolize this to your benefit.

Go to oprah.com and check out what the upcoming shows are for next week. Next show is Monday so you have some time to get your posts carefully crafted and poised to get yourself in front of the wave.

I can almost guarantee that if you follow this method you’ll be way in front of the herd and one page one if you use it correctly.

Remember from the example above I went after the jibbitz name and crocs and I got major traffic and page one for a short time anyways for the term jibbitz.

Now to shed little more light on what Seldom static mentioned in his post.

“Last week on Oprah, a topic of conversation on the June 6th show was the Implicit Association Test (see related resources). Hmm… it just so happens the number one hot search trend for the day was “iat test“. Coincidence?”

 No coincidence at all I would say.

Look at the screen shot for proof. That’s how Oprah affects Search trends.

Oprah has the unique ability and the fact that she has expertly branded her self as a trusted resource and expert in her field.

To command people to action.

So when she says something people trust that it is almost gospel and go check it out.

The power in what Oprah does is all based on word of mouth marketing, Or viral marketing for those of you how like to coin IM terminology

Hopefully you will be able to drive this kind of traffic to your site. Isnt that the aim of every blooger and why we’re all in it?.

To make money blogging.

So get using this little tool no matter what niche you’re in. This tool should should work like gangbusters to get you some massive traffic to your blog or website.Adnd hopeful help you make money blogging.

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them.

People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, share links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. Sharing links and videos is what I want to focus on here.

This can benefit you in a number of ways. Just a few of which I’m going to talk about here today.

Adding your blog or website to Facebook  leverages Facebook’s viral nature and can exponentially increase the visibility of your blog or website.

You can do this in a few ways.

1.) add your blog or website to your profile.

Facebook has a High PR and it gets crawled frequently, and you can leverage this very easily.

Follow the steps in picture format and you can start using Facebook to its full viral effect.

The next few screen captures I’m going to show you are how to get your website blog to appear in your facebook account

Im going to assume for a moment that you have a facebook account. If not go get one NOW!!

Then what you want to do after your account has been activated is scroll down to the section of the page where you see information. Above picture. And click edit.

This will take you to you basic information page. (below)

The do as the picture says and click contact.

This is your Facebook personal contact page

You can all sorts of information about yourself that will allows others in your personal network to contact you, so they and YOU can share information, share pictures, share videos, Share feeds and anything else that you wish.

Most importantly for the sake of this demonstration is to get your website or blog listed on facebook.

The Website form box is on the bottom of that page. Just type in your blog url address or website url address and you’re up and running.

Shortly after that probably within a few days the Search engines will drop by Facebook and see that you have updated your facebook account. They see your link and drop by your website or blog and in turn crawl it as well.

What great about this is at this time Facebook doesn’t have the no follow attribute attached to these links. So this means its a free for all for those who want a high PR backlink courtesy of facebook and want their newest projct , be it a blog or a website indexed quickly from a site that is well  trafficked by the Search Bots.

I just wish I could remember when I opened my facebook account. So I could provide with a better indication as to how quick the BOTs came to my site from Facebook. I know it was in may. And the screen capture I have on my prior post from my stats was from may. So I am going to assume it was within a few days to a week.

The facebook back link itself shows as may 5 th. So in any event it was fairly quick to appear.
