These are the people in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neeiiiigggghborhood.
Ok enough of the Mr Rogers theme song.
Ive been mulling over the idea of creating or trying to foster a sense of community and a blog neighborhood with in the blogosphere amongst all us bloggers. Actually this has been bubbling in my mind for quite sometime. What really made me want to get it done was reading Dat Money’s post I’m your friend not your foe let’s collaborate
The reason is this there are quite a few great bloggers I follow on my feed reader and visit on a regular basis. and I’m sure I’m missing out on even more great bloggers.
These bloggers have been a great source of inspiration and resources for me. And I am pretty sure they would be for you.
Dat money has some of the best designed advertising boxes you know the 125×125 boxes that I have seen and the kicker is he does them for a buck, yes you heard me right 1$ Nuts huh. Reminds me of the AC DC song dirty deeds and they’re done dirt cheap. Ok I’m 40 I like classic rock SO WHAT
If you’re not familiar with WP Designer he is an extremely talented Wordpress theme designer. The crazy thing about this guy is that for 5 bux he basically gives away awesome themes. And what funny about this is that at the time of the this post he’s doing something very similar and is sponsoring blogs and your give aways, In a contest format just by mentioning his 5 dollar theme account give away. Hes offering up to 20,000 of his 5 buck Wordpress theme accounts coupons so you can give them away. (smart cookie) His rules are found on his blog go check him out. His stuff is just great.
Blogging-ads has one of the btter blog review type blog and a sarcastic in your face writing style which I really enjoy. I come across some really great blogs as a result of being on his feed list. A definite must have in your feed reader
This is an exciting time Colin he’s on the verge of doing his blog release. Announcing to the world at large that he is here and alive, go check out his blog, he’s got some great feed tips and RSS information for all those having just started with RSS and Feedburner.
Yaro is my blogging mentor through his Blog mastermind mentoring program and is one of the many bloggers I look up to and keep up with and I would Highly recommend you do the same I’m not aure if his program is accepting new members at this point, but you should download his e-book Blog Profits Blue Print print
Actually his latest post echoes what many of you may be thinking about when it comes to downloading reports (And you should read this before collaborating on writing any future reports) and e-books and feeling jilted after discovering they’re really just sales letters in disguise, great read.
No matter what type of marketer you are and no matter how good your product is, to compete in a market driven by irrational emotional responses, shot-term thinking and instant gratification seekers, you have to sell the magic button.
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU
Link out to me and and subscribe to my feed and I’ll do the same. And as an added sweetener I’ll do a post wide link (On this Post) and site wide (side bar) link which DO NOT HAVE THE NO FOLLOW tag. As you see in the above format with a blurb about your blog, if you like I could do a full blown blog review, something I am going to be doing very shortly.
I feel it is important to start doing this because as I said above here are soooo many great blogs out there , that may be of use to you my valued readers and you might want to do the same. Just to be informative and helpful to your readers. Everyone needs access to all great bloggers you read.

Your success as a blogger
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to any of you that your success to a greater or lesser extent will depend upon networking and sharing. We all have to get out there in what ever form it takes,
either by:
- Contributing to a conversation (commenting)
- Having a blog review done on you or even doing blog reviews of other sites.
- Guest blogging
- Linking out to other blogs,
- Using trackbacks,
- Participating in forums.
- Creating viral reports and having your network in the blog community put out the word about it.
- The list goes on.
NOW for the collaboration part.
Are you thinking about writing a report and want some exposure or Maybe you have a product you want to get out, need some attention given to it. And need help either in the form of having content written for it in return for a link share. Everything is negotiable (this isn’t un-common by the way) Many bloggers partner togethor and write viral reports togethor.
Or videos or what ever it may be. We all need help and collaborators, Heck I know I do. This is what the net is for and what in my web 2.0 is all about CONNECTION, CREATION and SHARING
Ive recently approached another blogger about just this, waiting for feedback still (nudge nudge).
WHY because his chosen niche specializes in the topic I of my report so I figured I’d approach him to get his feed back and ask if he would like to add to it, in the form of his content with a link to his site and feed as well I’m going to allow him to give it away as an enticement in which ever way he choses to use it.
Always good to surround yourself with people who know more about something than you do and share the resource.
The benefits go both ways in terms of traffic and other promotional things. Which is why collaborating is SO important.
