The end result is page two of Google for the phrase dog clothes fashion which isn’t all that bad considering I haven’t sought or bought a single link or done much in the way of promotion, its all in the content frequency, syndicate Kahuna posts to my blog daily - once a day.

For the most part the content from syndicate kahuna is relevant. And is getting organic searches.

Using Micro Niche Finder for Keyword Selection

I chose the keyword phrase dog clothes fashion because it met my criteria for keyword phrases, that being its a hybrid of two phrases both of which are very competitive (dog clothes and dog fashion). Ive never read anywhere to do this but I figured it would be a good learning experience and something to talk about and get feed back on.

The main phrase I wanted to target was dog clothes. As you can see its very competitive

Dog fashion is equally competitive.

The pet fashion niche more specificly the dog fashion niche is a lucrative market. That and I’m a dog owner. Both past and present. I was raised with maybe even by dogs. We always had a small pack of dogs. At one time we had 4 dogs in our house.

Ive always wanted to get into the dog niche in one way or another, but decided to steer clear of the dog training niche. For one its over saturated and for another its full of BS for the most part. And being that Im not a dog trainer I didnt want to jump in and start telling people what to do with their dogs. So I chose the dog fashion market as my niche.

Its that time of year again!! Hunting season. And the hunting niche is hot as ever. To be honest I’m not that big a hunting fan. You know blowing away bambi’s is just wrong on so many levels. Like getting up at the crack of dawn sitting in a wet bush, you cant smoke, talk make any noise at all really. Just not my idea of fun.

But I usually get out a few times with my friends who are big hunting fans. Do the male bonding thing. I go for the commeradery and all that.

But it brings me to the point of this post. Hunting and the hunting niche. It’s seasonal yes but it has crazy traffic numbers.

Im not going to give away the farm on this niche but I can tell you how to find your way into this niche if you’re at all interested.

A starting point for you might be to just plop it into google and see what comes up.

for instance Results 1 - 10 of about 122,000,000 for “hunting” HUGE MARKET

You could go to google trends and plop in Hunting season for some ideas.

Then you might go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordTool and drop in the keyword hunting, select show estimated avg CPC, sort it from high to low and to see what highest bid is on a per click basis. Then sort by search volume to narrow down some search traffic and go from there.

SO I thought that after the last post tips for finding a blog niche that I should offer you a little glimpse into the rat niche.

Just to give you a little idea about how every day events might lead you to something you might want to check out.

Ya maybe I have blog on the brain I call it the entrepreneurial spirit. You know how it is, find a need fill a need. Isnt that our jobs as marketers and bloggers. Helping people get through something or over something or around something.

No matter what niche you go into, you’re basically solving a problem or asking someone to make choice. Read on or click that ad, or click the red X don’t do that actually I might get upset.

Seriously. There are plenty of ways to find niches and this is something I love to do. I don’t know why but for some reason when people are talking I’m making mental notes. People will generally talk about things that interest them or they might interested in, or some problem that theyre trying to overcome.

For instance when I’m with the guys on darts night it’s usually a little shop talk then after a few beers are had its usually onto to cars and women. Interesting thing about the cars thing is that usually we’re talking about cars we can’t afford but make us drool.

Theres another idea for you to think about what would you love to have and makes you drool but cant afford to get. If you’re not sure ask a buddy what you’re always talking about. They’ll look at you weird but they’ll know, especially if you drone on obsessively about it.

Like I do during hockey season, I talk about little else. Oh did I mention I play road hockey with the guys, did you also know I ran it through Microniche finder and am just about to launch a road hockey site as a result. Did I mention I love microniche finder, well I do
