A little while back Garry Conn made the decision to remove advertising from his blog.

I made some fairly large sacrifices towards what I thought would enhance reader experience on my site. That sacrifice was primarily in cancelling all my advertisers on the blog and making it totally 100% advertisement free. Since that time, I can see that I am very quickly regretting that decision as it is totally apparent that having ads or not having ads on the blog makes no difference to you.

And you know what? he’s right. By an large to a greater or lesser extent. It might make no difference to lots of people. Sure we all have our favourite reads and bloggers.

Why is that because quite simply we trust them, they know what theyre doing in their niche and they have a passion and a desrie to share that with their readership and well the should.

Should they be compensated for doing what they love to do ?

HELL YES !!

I have to come know Garry on a somewhat personal basis, mind you I’ve never been out drinking with him or anything of that nature. But over the past few months we’ve developed a relationship you might say. I bug him with stupid questions and he over delivers, we share info,resources and some other things along those lines.

How does this relate to his advertising woes.

I’m not say I know about all of the a-list bloggers but I do know many of them and until a few months ago I hadnt really heard of him. Until He responded to a comment I made on another blog. Yes there is a method to the madness and he really gets it, Hell anyone who has made 500,000 on the internet must be doing something right. He has a copy writers background and does some consulting and copy writing for some of the bigger names and some others who just need his services. From what I know he is doing some work for Mark mason of masonworld.com. SO if you need a refernce go bug mark he’ll tell you if Aaron is worth his salt.

Aaron with two A’s runs a very cool blog. I say cool because he has an entirely different approach to making money blogging than do most other blogs in the MMO (make money online), or I guess in this case MMB (make money blogging) arena.

Lots of bloggers talk about how important it is to have a newsletter and how to gain subscribers but none mention or I think even really understand this business the way he does.
