A little while back Garry Conn made the decision to remove advertising from his blog.

Why? Would he remove his cheap advertising, Here it is from the Conns Mouth.

I made some fairly large sacrifices towards what I thought would enhance reader experience on my site. That sacrifice was primarily in cancelling all my advertisers on the blog and making it totally 100% advertisement free. Since that time, I can see that I am very quickly regretting that decision as it is totally apparent that having ads or not having ads on the blog makes no difference to you.

And you know what? he’s right. By an large to a greater or lesser extent. It might make no difference to lots of people. Sure we all have our favourite reads and bloggers.

Why is that because quite simply we trust them, they know what theyre doing in their niche and they have a passion and a desrie to share that with their readership and well the should.

Should they be compensated for doing what they love to do ?

HELL YES !!

I have to come know Garry on a somewhat personal basis, mind you I’ve never been out drinking with him or anything of that nature. But over the past few months we’ve developed a relationship you might say. I bug him with stupid questions and he over delivers, we share info,resources and some other things along those lines.

So I have come to develope a trust in Garry and what he has to say any number of given topics.

How does this relate to his advertising woes.

As Imentioned above garry is a go to guy, not only for me but many other bloggers. He has built his name and brand in the blogging world based on trust. SO Just know that when he is selling advertising that he isnt going to just put up loads of garbage ads because someone want to payhim to do so.

Heck no he has a name to up hold and promoting Garbage just isnt the way Garry rolls.
