Do Niche market research with Google Trends
Filed Under (How to make money blogging, Niche marketing, reviews, tutorials) by shaners on 06-06-2007
I was doing some niche market research this after noon. I got a little distracted as I sometimes do while working and skipped over to Google trends
I do this occasionally if I’m bored and want to find something a little extra when I’m using Keyword Elite.
Google trends is great when doing niche research.
It shows you what people are actually looking for and you know how key this is when youre doing your keyword research.
What I didn’t notice before now and I wonder if this is , I suppose I should have checked huh, but Google Trends also has Hot trends
The screen Capture Image you see is the top Hot Ten, theres actually 100 Google hot trends on this page for you to scour over.
If you click through on any of the links it takes to you whats being talked about, in the form of News articles, blog posts.
And they give you a graph of the trend volume for the term.
Why should you use this Google trends tool
1.) If you’re doing niche market research,
2.) Need content so you can submit articles to article directories
3.) Or want to track a news story so you can blog about it.
Again Keep in mind these trends are hourly and any news story will move the search results, you don’t always find relevant information or weird keyword returns but this is cool way to see what is becoming popular today. And bubbling up in the minds of searchers. Like I said above this is a great way of determining what people are looking for.
I recommend you add this Google hot trends niche market research tool because as we all know one of the most important things in starting a successful web site is to research every corner of the niche.
Funny as I’m looking at it now number 15 is nichol richie is pregnant oh YAY.
But if you’re a Celeb blogger you could of course use this material on your blog.
