Here’s a little handy tip from facebookpayday for those of you who who want to use facebook to make money.
I did a full review of facebook payday a while back and have been on peters list and I’ll say this that he does his homework and comes through with very interesting results.
This week it was revealed that Facebook has allowed Google to index more sections of its site:
- wall posts
- groups
- discussion topics
Over time this means that fresh, relevant, linked content will start showing up in Google, with links back into Facebook.
Have you started a facebook group yet for your business?
Tip: Make sure the name of the group is relevant to the main keyword you want to be indexed for.
I just did a couple searches this morning and confirmed I could find groups in Facebook that are *already* indexed in Google.
What does Google have in their Index
To see what Google has already indexed, that’s in Facebook, use the “site:” command.
For example, to see what Google has indexed for “real estate” that is in Facebook, type
site:http://www.facebook.com “real estate” into Google.
I was seeing groups for jewelry, real estate, and also some for “bachelor party”, so watch out for what you
post in Facebook - use it to get found … but not found out
