This evening I was chatting with my girl friends sister’s boyfriend as we were doing some clean up on my computer it turns out he met my girlfriends sister on plentyoffish.com (POF). So I thought I would do some research into this site, and what I found out was it’s use of adsense to monetize the site was making an insane amount of money using adsense. I had heard that POF was making 10,000 per day from google adsense. I found a great interview done with the owner of POF. He’s been interviewed many times about how he makes the kind of money he makes using adsense alone.

I knew the day adsense came out that i would be able to make a lot of money, suddenly here was this revenue stream i could actually build a business on

My site at that point only had a few hundred visitors a day and it was only a few months old. But my growth was steady and I could plot on a graph exactly how much traffic I’d have in 4 or 5 months in the future
